Relational Seminar - How We Love

Relational Seminar

“How We Love”

January 31 - February 1

At Vineyard, Laguna Niguel

In The Sanctuary

Featuring Special Guests Milan Yerkovich & Kay Yerkovich from "How We Love"

Friday Session
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Doors open at 5:30 PM

Saturday Session
9:00 AM-1:00 PM | Doors open at 8:30 AM with a  continental breakfast  served

Whether you are single or married, we invite you to a special relational seminar hosted by Milan & Kay Yerkovich from "How We Love"! Milan & Kay are renowned relationship experts and authors of the bestselling book How We Love, which has sold over 100,000 copies. In their book, they explore how early life experiences shape your "intimacy imprint," influencing your relationships and expectations, especially in marriage.

Our most common reaction to this six-hour workshop is, “Why haven’t I ever heard this before?” We help individuals discover their love style (attachment style) and explain the predictable core patterns that occur when each partner’s love styles collide. Once a couple has a clear explanation for their predictable dance that causes the same problems to arise again and again, we then give a road map for growth and tools to end harmful patterns and create deeper intimacy in your marriage. This material all comes together at the end of the day when Milan and Kay work with a volunteer couple live on stage.

This seminar is designed for single individuals and married couples seeking to enhance their relational skills.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.

MORE ABOUT OUR WONDERFUL GUESTS:

Milan and Kay Yerkovich specialize in couples’ marriage counseling and are the founders of Relationship 180, a Christian counseling center specializing in the application of attachment research. They are the creators of Attachment Core Pattern Therapy (ACPT™) (www.relationship180.com). They co-authored How We Love, How We Love Workbook and How We Love Our Kids, and they travel and speak extensively on relationships (www.howwelove.com). They’ve been married for fifty-two years and have two sons and two daughters and ten grandchildren.

Marc and Amy Cameron married in 2012 after a whirlwind romance, only to find their relationship challenged by similar conflict patterns rooted in childhood love styles, leading to feelings of being misunderstood and disappointed. Both came into the marriage with young children and experienced the pain of infidelity from previous marriages. In 2017, they discovered the ‘How We Love’ material, which helped them understand their conflict patterns, manage triggers, and communicate more effectively. Marc transitioned from the corporate world to becoming a therapist, training under the Yerkovichs, while Amy shifted from ICU nursing to psychiatric mental health. Today, Marc is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Newport Beach, and Amy works as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and part-time recovery nurse. Together, they have grown in their marriage and professional lives, helping others navigate mental and relational health.

Packing Party Date

Sunday, November 17, 1 - 4 PM

Outside Under The Tent

Pizza, Fruit, and Water Bottles Provided For Volunteers

Christmas is right around the corner and our church is THRILLED to bless families in need again this season! One of the ways we plan to do this is by donating gifts and hosting a packing party through Operation Christmas Child. At this packing party, families will come together and stuff shoeboxes with donated gifts that will greatly impact the lives of little ones! Most of the children who will open our shoeboxes have NEVER experienced the joy of receiving a Christmas gift before in their lives. And the best part is that through Operation Christmas Child, they will also receive the greatest story ever told, the Good News of Jesus Christ.

To prepare, we will be collecting school supplies and toys weekly from Sunday, October 20 through Sunday, November 17. This gives families four weeks to shop for these items to drop off on Sunday mornings at our drop-off station at the Vineyard Kids Ministry entrance. Please note that Operation Christmas Child provides toys through the organization, so the greatest need for the children is school supplies.

FOR MORE INFORMATION AND TO VOLUNTEER PLEASE CONTACT Angie@vineyardln.com.

All suggested items for the shoeboxes are listed below.

Enjoy some food and fun as we pack together! What a great way to start a Christmas tradition that emphasizes giving—as the Lord says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). We thank you in advance for your support!

Election Prayer Night

Monday, November 4, 7 PM

In The Sanctuary

Dinner At 5:30 PM

Under The Tent

Childcare Provided For Dinner & The Service

Join us for a powerful prayer night as we gather the day before the 2024 Presidential Election to contend for God’s plan and purpose over our nation. Join us beforehand for dinner in our outdoor tent including chili, salad, and cornbread from 5:30 - 7 pm. The prayer service will begin immediately afterward at 7 pm in the sanctuary.

The evening will start with live worship, followed by a special time of prayer for this significant election. Our goal is to ask God for supernatural guidance, believing in faith that He hears the prayers of His people. We are confident that if we pray, God will answer the prayers of His church and bring the right leaders into office. We will pray corporately as a church and then gather into smaller groups to pray individually. Childcare will be provided from 5:30 pm during dinner under the tent, through the end of the service. The worship portion of the evening will also be livestreamed. Please note that this event will take the place of our regular Monday Night Worship service.

We look forward to uniting in prayer together over the future of our country.

“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer...”

Guest Worship Leader - Eddie Espinosa

Monday Night Worship

Monday, September 23, 7 PM

In The Sanctuary

Join us THIS Monday for a special night of worship featuring Eddie Espinosa at 7 pm in the sanctuary. Eddie is a seasoned worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist with a rich history in the Maranatha Praise Bands and the Vineyard movement.

You may know Eddie from his well-loved song, "Change My Heart, O God." Learn the story behind this timeless song in Eddie’s own words below.

"The year was 1982. I had been a Christian since 1969, but I saw a lot of things in my life that needed to be discarded. I had slowly become very complacent. I acknowledged my complacency, and I prayed to the Lord, 'The only way that I can follow you is for you to change my appetite, the things that draw me away. You must change my heart!'"

Eddie continued, "Shortly thereafter I was in my car on the way to my work, feeling a desire to draw near to God and with the wrestling still going on in my heart. Suddenly, a melody and some words began to flood through my mind. As I stopped at a stop sign I reached for something to write on. The first thing I found was a small piece of yellow paper, which, by the way, I still have, and began to write as rapidly as I could. It was like taking dictation. I wrote the words on the paper, and kept the melody in my mind."

"Change my heart, O God!

Make it ever true.

Change my heart, O God!

May I be like you.

You are the potter,

I am the clay.
